Lauren Daugherty, MD

Dr. Lauren N. Daugherty grew up in Snellville, GA. She attended college at Emory University where she majored in Psychology, minored in Music, and graduated as a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Society. She stayed at Emory for medical school, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Following her Transitional Year internship at Gwinnett Medical Center, Dr. Daugherty returned to Emory for her Dermatology residency, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. In residency, Dr. Daugherty trained in pediatric and adult medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Daugherty has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in esteemed journals such as JAMA Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology, and Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), amongst others. She has presented at national dermatological conferences, including the Society of Investigative Dermatology. Dr. Daugherty is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Daugherty’s professional interests include management of pediatric and adult medical dermatologic conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and blistering diseases. She is passionate about skin cancer screening and prevention, and enjoys treating patients of all ages.

Dr. Daugherty enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children. Her hobbies include baking, running, and planning trips to Disney. She is learning how to play the piano.
