Careers
Physician Assistant (PA-C) — Dermatology
Job description
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to practice medical and procedural dermatology at Peachtree City Dermatology. You will build and manage your own patient panel — skin checks, acne, rashes, biopsies, and destructions — with a board-certified dermatologist collaborating in the same office, not across town. Our practice is independent and physician-owned: clinical decisions are made by the people seeing patients, and our dermatopathology lab reads your biopsies down the hall, usually with results in days.
Experienced dermatology PAs are preferred, but we have a long history of training strong new graduates — two of our current PAs began their careers here as medical assistants before PA school. New graduates receive a structured ramp-up with dedicated physician supervision before building an independent template.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage medical dermatology patients of all ages — full-body skin exams, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, and lesion checks.
- Perform procedures including shave and punch biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions appropriate to training, and intralesional injections.
- Develop treatment plans, prescribe and manage medications (including biologics and isotretinoin with physician collaboration).
- Coordinate with our dermatopathologist on biopsy results and with our Mohs surgeons on skin cancer referrals.
- Document in the Modernizing Medicine (EMA) dermatology-specific EHR.
- Educate patients on sun protection, skin cancer prevention, and chronic disease management.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NCCPA certification (PA-C) and a Georgia PA license (or eligibility).
- Dermatology experience preferred; exceptional new graduates with dermatology rotations or MA experience in dermatology will be considered.
- Comfortable with procedures and a high-volume clinic pace without sacrificing patient rapport.
- Experience with Modernizing Medicine EMA is a plus.
